Biography

Though I was born and raised in Fairbanks, AK, I’ve fallen in love with the Badger State and am proud to call Madison home. Before joining GCW Lawyers, I spent time in the Alaska State Legislature, specializing in criminal justice and education reform. I also worked with the Wisconsin Innocence Project and the Wisconsin State Legislature, to bring equality to everyday Wisconsinites.

I have dedicated my career to battle injustice and am passionately fighting for those who do not have the resources to do so.

Outside of the law, I am an avid traveler and cook. Everywhere I visit, I try to bring back a new recipe. Some of my favorite recipes from my travels have been massaman curry from Thailand, fried plantains from Honduras, and paella from Spain. However, nothing will replace the homemade moose sausage and sourdough pancakes from my childhood. I am also a big sports fan. I play soccer, ultimate frisbee, and love to downhill ski during the winter.

On Wisconsin Sports...

Although I’m a passionate football and hockey fan, my undergrad was so small we didn’t have a single sports team. Therefore, I am a Bucky fan through and through. However, no matter how long I live in Wisconsin, I will always be a New England Patriots fan! (The Packers are my NFC team).

If I wasn't a lawyer, I'd be

A high school math teacher. I always loved math and tutored during high school and college.
